So you’ve decided you want to become a Titan-killing machine? Good! But first you must prove yourself by making an incredible amount of straps before joining the ranks! This little tutorial will show you how to make Attack on Titan pleather straps. This should make the straps to be rather sturdy and durable to make it more viable that these things could actually function as they would in the series. Also, you can of course apply this to straps and belts of the non-Shingeki variety. click here to view the tutorial It's hard to tell what you will receive when you order the 3DMG belt system online, and it's even harder when it's from a Chinese source (ie, TaoBao) that requires a middle man. Sometimes the belts don't fit or they aren't high quality. This tutorial will ensure that you know what you are going to receive if done correctly. |

" I’ve heard a lot of people talking about “sewing hair” onto wigs, and there’s an actual term for this: ventilating! It’s accomplished with a ventilating needle or latch hook, and much less time consuming than threading individual wig hairs through a conventional hand-sewing needle. Ventilating kits are relatively inexpensive ($10-$20) and can make adding hair to a lacefront wig a fairly simple, if not tedious, task. Read more for a more in-depth walkthrough! What do I need?

If you are crossplaying as the other gender, this is very helpful All troll cosplayers should try to highlight and contour their makeup to give it depth instead of just being a flat grey. Use lighter shades of grey and white, along with darker shades of grey and black. Original post: http://tordles.tumblr.com/post/69151630124/becoming-a-drag-queen-how-to-contour-and Alright Homestuck cosplayers, this one is for you. Many of the trolls have short sleeves or are showing their legs. Now, that is a lot of wasted paint because you'll have to re-apply it through out the day and you'll have to make sure it's all sealed and that you aren't bumping into anyone. To avoid this hassle, the picture to the left compares the two paints and two of We Love Color's tights. You can use the tights to create armsocks and to wear them as, of course, tights. Ben Nye Grey matches well with WLC's Grey tights and then Snazaroo Grey matches well with WLC's Light Grey tights. Please note that Ben Nye colors are oil based, which means that you can get wet and the water shouldn't affect it much, while Snazaroo is water based and you won't be able to get wet. Mehron is also another alternative. Be sure to do your research on what paint will best suit you and always be sure to seal it. Also, Cheyenne uses Snazaroo for her troll paint while Margarette and Sam use Ben Nye in Ghoul Grey (BN Ghoul Grey is light than BN Grey). Feel free to ask them about their opinions on their choice paint. Original post: "I made you a referenceThe Ben Nye is UNALTERED GRAY. If you mix Ben Nye Gray and White, you will get something very similar to Snazaroo but maybe a tinge darker? I’ve only seen someone do it, so I haven’t compared yet. I’m about to experiment with it but I didn’t particularly feel like mixing it up for a middle stripe when I’m really just trying to match tights. However, on the tights, neither of these are an exact match. The WLC Gray is actually a bit between the two paints and the Light Gray is just a bit too light for Snazaroo. As you can kinda see in this picture with my yaoi boat hands. However, the WLC tights are a near perfect shade of gray in tone AND they’re great quality, so they’re pretty nice and probably the best option for arm socks. Print out multiple of these bad boys to make sure that you are prepared and in case one gets lost. You can use this to check that you have everything before you leave your house, when you get to the con, and before you the con. Also, be sure create a list in word, etc for each of the pieces that go with each of your costumes. This will ensure that you have a better chance of not leaving things in a hotel room at a con. Make sure to save to the H: drive and a flash drive in case your computer gets re-imaged! |
